Showcasing Soccer‘s Hall of Fame as a First-Class Destination

While soccer is the most popular sport in the world, the National Soccer Hall of Fame flew under the radar from its opening in 1979 until its relocation to Frisco, Texas, in 2018.

In its original home in Oneonta, N.Y., the Hall of Fame featured simple banners for each inductee, but the experience was not a bucket-list trip for soccer fans. Then for seven years, the Hall of Fame didn’t even have a home.

A public-private partnership — between FC Dallas, the City of Frisco, Frisco Independent School District and U.S. Soccer Federation — set out to change that. The state-of-the-art facility utilizes facial recognition technology — changing displays based on visitor preference to provide the most personalized experience in sports.

To match this engaging experience, the Hall of Fame set out to build excitement, credibility and household name recognition.

Solution

Comprehensive Digital Support — From Ticketing and Memberships to Storytelling

Since 2018, every member of our team has worked at some point with the National Soccer Hall of Fame to help their team amplify their brand.

We’ve implemented our TurnStyle product for an enhanced ticketing experience, developed critical messaging for the website to regularly populate its news section, and we’ve even helped their team by conducting video interviews at the annual Induction Ceremony.

Leading up to the 2024 ceremony — featuring inductees Tim Howard, Josh McKinney, Tisha Venturini-Hoch and Francisco Marcos — our team updated the look and feel of the site and created an exciting homepage takeover.

“Lifeblue’s exceptional team has not only delivered a stunning website for the National Soccer Hall of Fame, but they’ve also consistently gone above and beyond to ensure our vision is brought to life. Their seamless collaboration and attention to detail have truly elevated our online presence, leaving a lasting impression on our audience.”

Impact

A Growing Presence That’s Worthy of Nationwide Attention

In 2024, the Induction Ceremony was carried live on Peacock and Telemundo Deportes platforms, reflecting its continued growth in the public eye.

The National Soccer Hall of Fame now stands shoulder-to-shoulder with iconic institutions, like the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York.

We’re happy to have helped the Hall of Fame add sophistication to its digital messaging, along with more dynamic storytelling and a smoother experience for visitors.
