We work year-round for days like Giving Tuesday.
Giving Tuesday is a special occasion for our team at Lifeblue — a time when much of the work we do with our partners makes its biggest impact.
Since 2012, the Giving Tuesday movement has unleashed the idea of radical generosity around the world, inspiring hundreds of millions of people to donate, collaborate and celebrate giving.
We’ve been similarly inspired by getting to work closely with partners who have leaned into the digital disruption and are working to make a difference, both locally and globally. In the last few months alone:
• We took part in our eighth annual Hack Week with Heifer International, bringing our organizations together for a full week’s worth of intense focus on innovative solutions to help Heifer reach its goal of ending world hunger and poverty.
• On Sept. 11, Lifeblue team members were fortunate enough to join our partners at VOLY in the Park, the largest volunteer festival in Dallas. The event brought together more than 30 nonprofits seeking to make connections to build larger networks of volunteers across the community.
• Several Lifeblue team members are taking part in VolunteerNow’s Young Leaders Council, where they are training to support nonprofits through advocacy and board membership with top philanthropic leaders in North Texas.
As the end of the year approaches, Giving Tuesday serves as a reminder for all of us to rededicate ourselves to our ongoing efforts to do meaningful work, to help our partners make a social, cultural or economic impact on the world.
We are grateful for our teammates, for our opportunities — and for partners who work so hard to make the world a a better place.
Happy Thanksgiving!
